Our inaugural focus centers on expanding the Challenge ecosystem by providing bootstrap funding to both entrepreneurial Challenge Owners and expert Challenge Designers. This initiative addresses the critical gap between innovative research concepts and their practical implementation as scalable challenges.
Key Benefits:
- Strategic Funding: Upfront funding for Challenge development and scaling.
- Expert Collaboration: Support for domain-expert academics to design challenges for entrepreneurial implementation.
- Accountability: Milestone-driven framework ensuring measurable progress.
- Sustainability: Self-replenishing fund structure for long-term ecosystem viability.
The Γ-Grant Program operates through a structured milestone system administered via the TIG Challenge Developer Grant Agreement. Funding is distributed conditionally upon successful completion of verifiable milestones, each approved by our Committee of Experts.
Development Milestones:
Milestone 1: Functionality
Demonstration that the proposed Challenge implementation will function correctly within The Innovation Game infrastructure.
Milestone 2: Alignment
Evidence of academic rigor and alignment with literature, plus validation of real-world application value.
Milestone 3: Implementation
Delivery of functional software successfully executing on testnet and submitted for protocol inclusion.
Milestone 4: Infrastructure
Establishment of complete community infrastructure including social presence, Discord integration, forum engagement, and dedicated web presence.
We welcome proposals from:
- Individual domain experts in academia seeking to translate research into practical challenges.
- Strategic commercial partners with industry expertise.

The Bootstrap Fund's self-replenishing structure ensures long-term ecosystem support. When the TIG Foundation serves as Challenge Owner, all earned token rewards return directly to the Bootstrap Fund, creating a virtuous cycle that enables the ecosystem's success to fuel future innovation.
This initiative works in conjunction with the Γ Upgrade and Challenge Owner activation to create a comprehensive incentive framework. Our goal is attracting foremost experts to the TIG ecosystem, serving as a critical catalyst for protocol scaling and globally impactful innovation development.
